I guess I would have to live there to really know if I would like it. But 90 up here is no problem for me with shorts and flip flops on.

After living this past yr in MA (first and las one) I am so forward to moving to FL!!! I'd rather have heat, at least you can go to the beach, pools, the ac is on, but winters here are forever!!!! Ive had the heater on since Sept!!! Only a month and a 1/2 of summer and even then you can't get in the beach bc it's so cold!!! I look at my before and now pictures and even my suntan ran away!!!!

After 100° plus days on end in N MO FL is a cake walk for me. And then came highs below 0° for the entire month of January. No win, no beaches, no summer breezes but strong winter winds. We got toughened up going to school for years with no AC. The "Next Five Months Stink" is an opinion not a fact.

You cant go to the beaches here in January, unless you like cold water. And of course the title is an opinion, I dont think anyone here was claiming it was a fact...

Water temp at Coney Island, Brooklyn NY - Today - 55 degrees.

Water temp at Clearwater Beach, FL - January - 52 degrees.

I could go to the beach in January here.

Same here. Spent too many years in NYC and I'll take a Florida summer vs an nyc summer any day.

Wait, the people that are complaining about the heat are going to claim that average water temps above 62 degrees is too cold?

It seems to me that the people that would do that are just going to complain about everything because they don't like the area not because the complaint is valid.

What do you consider a good water temp?

You can say that again!!

The typical summer forecast for NYC and vicinity:

"HAZY HOT AND HUMID". That was all Al Roker had to say every day in July and August.
