So I am coming back to Tampa Nov 18th-20. Looking for best beaches, closer to downtown if possible or easiest to get to from airport via public transportation or by cab or I might just rent a car. How the weather in mid November?

Second on the list is Bars, coming from Milwaukee I love me a good bar. Ybor City? or not? or other great bar areas and anything close to a beach? vodka bars available?

Third, I am going to The U game vs South Florida any game day recommendations?

anything else to do in Tamps for two dudes?

Two dudes in mid-November?

1-Best beach is Clearwater or St Pete
2-There are no beaches really close to downtown Tampa...they're all around 30 minutes away by car.
3-No good public transit for that is really usable. I'd rent a car.
4-The weather is USUALLY awesome that time of year...but there is the off-chance it could be cool.
5-Bars-Ybor used to be awesome but it's mostly drawing a sort of ghetto-ish crowd these days. The bars in Channelside can be good, but most people seem to go to the SoHo area. St Pete Beach has a bunch of bars right on the beach that are fun to hop between.
6-Game day stuff for USF-there's not much to do right around the stadium really, except strip joints (which are awesome if you like that). Most people tailgate, so there's that. If you want more than that, I'd stick with the south Tampa bars, or maybe the old Bennigan's near the stadium...can't remember what it's called now....hopefully someone here will chime in with it.

What's the SoHo area? oh what is bar time? and is there any 4am bars/clubs/lounges?

SoHo= South Howard Ave. It's epicenter is the intersection of Howard and Swann.

Bars close at 3 or 4 in Tampa? Not sure about Pinellas. It's been a while since I've closed a bar here, they stay open late.

Bars close at 3 am, last call at 2:30. If you between 23 and 35 go to SoHo (South Howard and Swan ave), if 18+ then Ybor since there are places for 18+ crowd.
Beaches are at least 30 min away from south tampa/downtown/airport. Although there is Wiskey's joes and Crabby Bills in rocky point that feels like bar on the beach minus the beach crowd. They both have sand and great views. Clearwater is nice beach, crowded by all the tourists, terrible traffic. St. Pete is fairly nice, not as crowded but has worse sand than Clearwater. If you have time, make a trip to Siesta Keys. It's about hour and a half south of airport, but it's awesome beach.

Where is an area similar to Water St in Milwaukee or North Ave where you have a ton of bars in a small area or on one strip of a street.

Looking for areas like this:

water st milwaukee - Google Maps

Good dive bars in Tampa near Raymond James or else where in the city? coming this weekend. Looking for authentic Tampa bars not the regular tourist stops.

The only dive bar I can think of near RayJay is The Press Box on South Dale Mabry Hwy (google/bing for maps and directions).

If you're looking for something fun to do with the locals on Saturday night, head to Straub Park in St. Petersburg for Chillounge Night. Details and tix here -> St Petersburg - Chillounge Night - the coolest outdoor lounge (http://www.chilloungenight.com/stpetersburg.html - broken link).

To your looking for an area similar to where you're coming from, I hope you can just enjoy what the Tampa Bay area has to offer. And if you can, give us a recap of what you did afterwards. Have a great time!
