This is why you try and line up a job prior to moving. Hopefully you came with extensive savings.

I would be more concerned about lining a job up first than asking about commute times.

Well like lots of folks out there my house was in foreclosure. I did apply for employment in Florida while in Delaware but no luck. The sheriff sale was just around the corner and I had to get out of there. Please don't mistake me for someone who has their priorities backwards. Of course I wanted to secure employment prior to moving to Florida but it didn't work out that way.

Foreclosure, Ivy League school, and you have to ask about commute times...:e ek:

Wonder what you did all this time while being in an Ivy League school....I know not everybody in College is e smartest...you have the bright smart ones and the ones who barely finish school and some are school smart but not street smart...you probably fit one of these categories and I bet not the best one...

Hopefully you find a way to figure out your commute and then land a job in that area.....omg...I'd this punk'd?

No it doesn't that is for sure. But why head to FL with one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation and a state also known for some of the lowest salaries when you have a degree from an Ivy League school?

You want a return on your investment. I would have looked at NC or TX.

I used to live up there that way and work in downtown, this is bar none, the easiest/fastest way to get to downtown:

41 to Florida Ave, take Florida Ave all the way into downtown (it becomes Tampa Street at some point).

Otherwise, if you get on 275 you will hit the brick wall at Fletcher and drive bumper to bumper all the way into downtown. Florida Ave you hit some traffic lights, but it's not bad

My first choice was Texas however, my grandmother is not doing well and she lives in Florida. I decided to move to Florida despite the unemployment rate because spending time with her is more important.

I posted a question to get opinions and answers from folks who were kind enough to help a newbie to Florida. Your attempts to insult my intelligence and make judgments were infantile and pitiful. I've had a few interviews this week which have turned into two offers. Your unnecessary ramblings are unwelcome in my conversations with others.
