The one issue that I have a real hard time with is that drive from Tampa to Orlando. Once you get close to Kissimmee (Disney) traffic is just terrible. That said, there is an offshoot that heads south towards Orlando Airport that looks like it makes it bearable. But doing on 4 East ... I sure don't like that one.

Safety Harbor
You should look at Safety Harbor. TIA is just on the other side of 60 (causeway). Sounds like the perfect place for you. While you might be able to fond something in Westchase in that price range, I'm not sure why you want to be there in your situation. It is mostly suburban familes, with kids and not walkable. Safety Harbor is a quaint little town where you could walk to everything and many "empty nesters". It is actually closer than Westchase. We lived in both so this is personal knowledge. Just an idea.
