So I spent my first couple of hours ever on a kayak today, a rental from Sail Honeymoon on the Dunedin causeway. Wonderful exercise, delightful trip. (I was smart enough to paddle into the wind for the first half, with the wind on the way home.) Some of you know a lot more than I do about this, help me out.

If you go to the intersection of sr50 and us19 you have the Weeki Wachee mermaid theme park on the southwest corner,in the back of their parking lot is an outfit that rents kayak and canoes to paddle down the Weeki Wachee river, takes about 4 hours and costs about $40.
Looks like this for 4 hours
For all things Kayak and canoe its hard to beat Bill Jacksons Sports store in northern St Pete.
