Hello! I just moved here from Ohio two months ago and I'm renting a condo in Clearwater. I really like the area so far, however other than the beaches, I haven't had a chance to get out and really explore the city. What all does Tampa have to offer besides beautiful beaches and malls? Where are the prettiest parks? Comedy Clubs? Galleries? I have also heard that St. Pete Pier has a lot of activity on the weekends.

Any fun ideas you can pass along to a newbie are appreciated! Thanks!

Tons. I'll see if I can help....

Sports-
Rays
Bucs
Lightning
Storm

Nightlife-
Plentiful in SoHo, Ybor, south Tampa
Comedy Clubs in several locations....best to google those but there is one in Ybor

Parks-
lots of those...depends on what you want to do. Many have canoeing, hiking
Busch Gardens
Bok Tower (little bit of a drive but very cool)
If you have a boat, Egmont Key, Beer Can Island, and several other places are great
Bayshore is not a park but running/biking/blading there is great

Galleries-
Dali Musem
Ca'd'zan in Sarasota

Many many festivals, especially this time of year ...gasparilla, Strawberry fest, others

Concerts always coming through town

Seminole Hard Rock Casino

St Pete Grand Prix

I'm missing TONS of stuff but that's a start

Now why do you do that? You claim to like this area, but you don't miss a chance to get in your bashes - gotta tell you , it gets really old...... and starting to sound a bit like sour grapes.

If facts are sour grapes, then I suppose they're my favorite dish.

PolitiFact Florida | Is Tampa the 'strip club capital of the world'?

The OP asked what type of entertainment Tampa offers, no one had yet mentioned one of the Tampa's greatest entertainments.
