The taxes collected alone will make significant changes.

I think it should just be legal period. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, but if people want to then that is their business. It could be taxable and we can save on needless law enforcement. It would be a win win. I really don't buy that it would cause any other problems, as people who want to smoke pot already are. Just put it under the same don't drive under the influence laws.......except let's actually enforce them with some teeth.

It's time to put aside the old fears.

Yikes, DUI laws are already incredibly over the top...cash cow and ruining lives by the minute.

Glad to hear FL is being somewhat progressive, you can forget that in GA.

I agree. If drugs were legal, it would end a lot of unnecessary violence and death. Not to mention how much tax revenues Uncle Sam would attach to them.

It's ironic that our government will allow people to buy alcohol that effects the mind and could lead someone to drive and kill people, but marijuana is somehow different?

Legalization would virtually end the cartels.

Those poor drunk drivers. Will the horror never end?

It's ridiculous that the criminalization of marijuana has gone on this long.
