In the summer months (may through September give or take) high pressure is usually located off of the Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia coast......causing us to have east/southeast winds in the AM through mid day.......then, a sea breeze from the gulf develops and penetrates inland......where the 2 breezes meet is where the thunderstorms will form and strengthen.......then, the sea breeze will weaken and the thunderstorms will move westward towards and into the Gulf towards sunset and later......

The reverse summer time pattern (or reverse, west wind flow) is when high pressure is located off of the Southeast Florida coast (think Miami) causing us to have a west/southwest wind all day and night while the high pressure axis is located there........when this happens- rain and thunderstorms will form in the Gulf overnight and move toward the coast around sunrise, often times either soaking the immediate coast or "fizzling" out right as they get to the coast.....the storms continue to move toward the East and re-strengthen with the heating of the day delivering rain to inland areas.....

The location of the high pressure axis determines what pattern we are in........

So- high pressure off of Northeast Florida/Georgia = regular pattern
high pressure off of Southeast Florida/Bahamas = reverse pattern (reverse, west wind flow)
So what you are saying is the sea breeze brings rain to the coastal areas, thanks for clearing that up.
