Thank-you, to all of you. I will check out those places.
If you know of any other apartments that allow two dogs, please let me know. I would like to be within a half-hour drive of downtown Tampa. My budget is 2000-2500 for a 2 bedroom.

I drive by folks,, Boyscout becomes Spruce at the corner of Trask, and it is 1/2 block from Westshore. It's beautiful -all that area is being revitalized and the leasing sign is OUT.

I would not be opposed to moving into those, but I dread the amount of money I'd spend at Bay Street every Happy Hour.

I have a question about these high rises. Are they built to withstand strong hurricane winds? When was the last time, Tampa had a really big hurricane that caused evacuations? thanks.

Modera and Millenium are not going to work for me. My dogs are over their weight restrictions.
But, I did find another one called Phillips International Drive. My dogs just made the weight cutoff!
It is right by the airport.

I think its been forever but all new construction has the new codes, also coming from hurricane country- Miami, the hurricanes may be a problem but it is the inner twisters that do that kind of damage no one is safe from. I worry more about the flooding than anything here, a storm surge will keep me at home as I work near Int mall. Time to buy a raft,

I believe it's anything after 2007 that has the most up-to-date hurricane codes. When Charley was supposed to hit in 2004, that was the last big evacuation. All the westbound lanes on all bridges were reversed for people evacuating Pinellas. Charley ended up hitting farther south.

A direct really big hurricane has been about a century or so.

Pretty sure renters insurance would cover anything that gets damaged. What's the point of living on a 2nd or 3rd floor if everything under you is moldy and water damaged? The structure would likely be condemned anyway.
