Back to OP, I think $200/week per child is reasonable from what I see around. We personaly decided to stay at home until Kido went to elementary school. Wasn't worth it for us missing the critical time of a kid before age 5. Others may have different opinion but that was us.

Good luck!
Two professionals, but this is really the norm in my area. As far as your comment about staying with your children, I couldn't agree more. I wish all parents had the luxury to do so.

Couldnt agree more about the 52k a year being insanly expensive

She will likely stay home, we purchased a fixer up that needed more fixer uppering than expected so it cut our monthly budget a bit more than we would prefer. The option for her to work was weighed out and while she can make enough to cover the cost of that and still bring home an OK chunk, its not really worth it based on the costs vs. lack of time with them.

Sorry, but $1000 per week per child for nanny is way above average in our area (Wesley Chapel - Land O Lakes)

I do not live in WC. I live in NYC. Why are you always commenting everytime I write something?? Because I corrected your math?

Why are you commenting on a thread on the cost of childcare in a suburb of Tampa if you are in NYC? I assure you the cost of living is vastly different.

Ummmm, I never gave advice about the cost of child care in Tampa. I simply commented on the cost and finding it so inexpensive as opposed to what I make. Why are people sooo rude here? Is this an example of what we face when we move to Clearwater next year?

Great! Post something completely unrelated to original topic question... Keep talking about house prices, food prices, salaries.... At least I am glad you clarified where your numbers came from. Make sure you are ready to take 4 times less next year when you move to Clearwater

Seriously, I dont think it has anything to do with people being rude, your posting in a topic for a state your not even near providing price figures that arent even close to what would be expected here. I was wondering what kind of crack head pays that much per year for child car
