We have Duke here in Clearwater. The lights at home blinked a few times during the storm and that was all. The next day we saw 2 traffic lights out and one running on a portable generator.

And when he's done down there I hope he comes up to NY so the next time we get a tropical storm that lands over 100 miles away in New Jersey we're not without power for 11 days.

Personally, I think you are being quite selfish keeping all of this epic knowledge and experience to yourself.
Take a look at the OP's other threads. It's normal behavior.

I sense your frustration - I can imagine you're trying to do your job w/o electricity and internet and that can become a major obstacle for you to earn a living. You probably have a boss/supervisor with a deadline on you to complete projects. I understand that we barely received a scratch in our area and you've got to wonder why the electricity went out. Seriously, we've been in some tropical storms that have been much worse than Irma.

Up here, WREC did a heck of a job. As of earlier today, they have power restored to 120K out of 185K customers who were out. I am sure that number is lower now because they were waiting on Duke to repair a transmission line that supplies the eastern part of Hernando County.

I was down in Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough today and things looked better than I expected - of course, I was only in parts of each.

We only lost power for a few hours Sunday night. Maybe it has to do with how close I live to downtown or the multi million dollar homes on the water at the end of the street. I'm sorry for those of you who have to deal with the outage.

If your meter isn't spinning the utility company is not able to have revenue. It is certainly in their best interest to get customers meters spinning again.
