I believe it is the Birchwood on Beach Dr that has the rooftop bar, with prices to match. The Vinoy plans on a similar concept overlooking the marina, above the pool area on the sun deck, but I don't know if it has been completed yet.

Honestly though, you just can't beat the "Hey! Glad you're here" vibe at the Hollander. I just happened to walk in one day out of curiosity while staying elsewhere. I was so impressed with the people, I haven't stayed anywhere else.

There's also a Hampton Inn, Hyatt Place and Courtyard By Marriott in addition to the Hilton. I'd recommend the Hampton Inn which is right on Beach drive a block from the water and in the heart of restaurant row/things to do. Hampton Inns usually have really good beds and are highly rated otherwise.

Absolutely! With a poolside bar and cabanas.

Try the HotelTonight app...I've used it a couple of times and if you book within a few days of your trip you will find a great deal. They also have hotel reviews and customer submitted photos of each property. Plenty of hotels in St. Pete are on there!
