I need to find a place to park near the Duke Energy building in St. Pete where I don't have to pay $7.00/day in the parking deck. I don't mind walking if it means free parking (or pay very little). I'm at 3rd St and 1st Ave N. next to Williams Park. There has to be somewhere in the area that's perhaps not well known or advertised. I get here for work really early - around 6:00-6:15 a.m. Maybe that would help in finding a spot. But not if I have to take a ticket in a parking deck.

there are a few public garages around 3rd ave south. Look at the one across from UPS store / Kawah coffee. I believe it was less then 100 a month. Also, there is one at the Locale Market.

There are non-meter streets, but all that I know of are 2 hour limits...and YES they check and mark cars constantly!

Got my first ticket while here in the TB area yesterday (living here a decade) ----but in the City of Tampa......my bad, I was lazy and in a hurry, thought I'd find a pay station on my way to where I was going (it's different in Tampa - they use a station).....my laziness cost me $25 for the citation......oh well, lesson learned....today i was down there again and learned that they don't charge until 8 a.m (or 9 a.m. on Saturdays)....I made sure I got back to my vehicle in time ----my luck would have $25 x 2 days in a row......noticed all day parking is $20 downtown lots so $25 punishment wasn't that bad.......these cities are serious about getting their money for parking.

This is the worst place to try and find all-day parking if you don't want to pay. I don't even get to use parking deck of the company I'm working for, since I'm just a contractor. Too bad there's not a Wal-mart or Target nearby. I wouldn't mind parking a few blocks away, but everyone guards their parking lots like they're the entrance to the White House. I guess I'm screwed at $7.00/day in the parking deck I'm using for the duration of this job.

I've parked at the N. Shore Park and biked it to the place I wanted to go to (Grand Prix Race). I think I'd bike a mile to save $7. Good exercise. Can get hot, though.

Thanks. The site doesn't mention anything about parking. What's the rate for parking all day there?

Free. It's a huge parking lot for the outdoor aquatic center, tennis courts, beach, circuit training, walking the park, softball games. I feel it's very safe against break ins. I park there often.
