Coming from Orlando, I was used to a plethora of Caribbean stores offering the stuff I typically use to cook holiday Guyanese dishes. Now I'm here, and frankly, I haven't seen anything decent so far.
There HAS to be a part of town that has this stuff? That has a HEAVY concentration of ethnic stores? I don't want to drive all the way to Orlando JUST for this, but I'm prepared to at this point.

You might find what you’re looking for on Armenia north of 275. There are a lot of Caribbean/South American/Central American stores and restaurants.

Good luck! There are other places you might find what you’re looking for, but this area has the greatest concentration of authentic Latin American establishments.

Fair warning, this isn’t the greatest section of town…

The area I went to for these kinds of stores in Orlando was quite awful as well, so it’s to be expected. Thanks for the heads up.

I have had Taste of the island restaurant for a client for quite some time. They have two locations one downtown St Pete and one on 34th st south. The one on 34th st south expanded and opened up a grocery store next door. It might have what your looking for.

TOTI Market

Quadro Supermercado 8401 N Armenia Ave.
That's our go to place for Latin items.
Haven't looked specifically for Caribbean fare but I wouldn't be surprised if they have something.
