Does anyone know of any Senior mens hockey leagues or groups in the Tampa area? By senior I mean older, fatter and slower. I'm retiring next month and moving to the Spring Hill area. I've been playing a couple of times a week with groups in the Niagara Falls, NY area. It's the one thing I'm really going to miss about this place in the winter. I'm 56 years old and I've been playing for 40 years, just can't keep up with the kids anymore, by kids I mean the 20 to 40 year olds. Any thoughts.

kd. cat, try the Sportszone in New Port RIchey. It's in an industrial park off Orchid Lake Rd. between Congress and Regency Park. I played there a couple seasons. Only thing is, it's deck and roller only.

Hi Mike I am moving to the area as well (Clearwater) and in the same boat I love the game and want to skate with some guys I may be able to hang with and have some fun. Let me know if you have found anything. Wes 602-503-1910

They have a rec league but it already started.

14 games season.

You cam also check with the Tampa Bay Bolts. They are a junior hockey league but may be able to point you in the right direction.

Phone: (813) 478-6776

I know there is another rink east of Tampa that used to have leagues I think. Can't think of the name of it though.

Due to a knee injury I haven't been able to follow up on hockey since I moved down, Hoping to soon. There is a ice rink in Clearwater, haven't visited it yet but it looks interesting. Here's the link:
