We're looking for an active community and amenities since I'll have plenty of time on my hands yet does'nt necessarily have to be over 55. Our price ceiling is about $300,000. Access to highways would be nice.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Check out a mixed age community.....Trinity, Fish Hawk Ranch, Westchase, New Tampa, Riverview, East Lake.
Sun City Center is nice but I'd pass @ age 55/60..good luck

Hi,
I would also appreciate any new information on their experience in Valencia Lakes.
I will be retiring in just a few years at age 58, and would like to consider buying within 12-18 months as home prices have decreased ,and you would have a better choice of picking a nice lot to build there.
Thanks

Is Valencia gated? Last time I visited, it wasn't - but that was several years ago and houses were just being built. It is right off US 301 and near Waimama (high illegal immigrant population).
