I don't know about lawns (mine still looks ok) but you can be damn sure my car is that important.

Charity begins at home... the guys who made the 'rules' should have enforced it upon themselves first.

Additionally, conservation of water does not mean 'DO NOT WATER THE LAWN' ..

Conservation has a deeper meaning that has to be built into the way we use water, right from brushing teeth to cleaning dishes.

Theoretically, for e.g. if you 'hand wash' your dishes and dont use the dishwasher, the extra water saved could potentially be used to water (a portion) your lawn

So, my take is that the rule makers should consider all aspects of conservation, rather than enforcing some cr@ppy rule banning sprinklers and such. These rules only increase their revenue stream.

Yes indeed. People try to justify their self-indulgent behavior all the time.

They don't fool anyone but themselves.

Is this issue affecting golf courses? I thought I read that a golf course in the South uses 300k gallons of water a day.

Is this drought a permanent thing? Would one "wet" summer really reverse this drought or is it into several years....
