COTA program is usually 15-18 months long. Salary here in TX is between $60K (40 hrs/week)-$80K(with overtime). You can get COTA certified in a community college. It's tough to get in though.
Are you talking about a licensed occupational therapist? That requires a minimum of a master's but they are now changing the requirements to a doctorate as they did with physical therapy. It also requires a practicum.

Teaching is my third career. I felt I was "called to teach" middle schoolers math.

I had a very successful career in the military
I had an even better career as executive in a Fortune 100 company

Business has a very very very dim view of teachers. Very dim. I would not waste time trying to get into any professional, business niche.

Some sort of service job, maybe, a medical tech (and a lot of those make double what teachers make, at least in NC) or something like tutoring. Just stay clear of business, you will be disappointed if you do not.

It won't change to a doctorates for awhile
