Has anyone who has relocated to Tennessee had problems with locating in network doctors under your health care insurance plan? If so, how did you deal with this?
Did you switch insurance plans?
Is the cost of doctor visits lower in comparison to other states?

This was brought to my attention and have been looking into it. Not able to find many doctors in my network and especially need access to some specialty doctors for my son.

I would appreciate any insight. Thank you in advance

What health network are you in? We have Blue Cross/Blue Shield out of state and have lots of choices down here.

GHI is a New York State carrier. Sounds like you are going to have to call your carrier and ask those questions.

Well I know there is a family practice with four doctors in Hendersonville that accept GHI. I need a gastro, dermatologist and OBGYN.
Going to research next week to see where I can get

Tennessee opted to default to a federal exchange rather than set up its own health insurance market place under the affordable care act. Go to healthcare.gov and see how to go about purchasing a plan after Oct 1st.
