We get the visual changes four of seasons here too, but things don't usually green up here until mid-April to mid-May and fall colour is over by mid-October.

The length of cold is not as extreme for most as I make it sound. I'm often still cold while the seasons change; anything under 65 F and I'm probably still in a sweater.

Up here the "greening-up" tends to happen when we start getting days above 60 F, and fall starts to happen when we stop getting days above 60 F.

Cool HangGlide Mtn PIC - UltraLight Fatal Crash

TWE1234 Will try attach pic of the Dunlap HangGlide mtn. Just had PBS tv travel show do a film. Just North of the lookout mtn downtown, is private plane airport in Upscale Soddy-Daisy,just west of the river.
Over holidays we had a group of fatal small plane crashes, maybe icing cond. Also fatal was UltraLight one seater with engine hanging off back. Think 35 degree weather was cold for him, so please extra caution flying in the winter months over our beautiful scenery. Pic from Walden ridge looking over Sequitchie valley of Dunlap..............Many RIDGES here running SouthWest to NorthEast flat valley between.[IMG][/IMG]
