Which city in Texas do you believe shows off too much? (whether or not it can back up what it's showing off or not is up to you to decide)

You can derive it from the people, the city government, anyone who represents the city who shows off too much.

So which big Texas city do you think takes the cake for doing such?

Please try to stay polite.

Not really. I'm a Houstonian. I think it's Austin to be frank.

I like the city of Austin, just not doing school there. But dear goshhhh, have you seen how much attention this city gets recently by the media? (newspapers, internet, TV, movies, etc...)

I know it is not San Antonio, heck we are the 7th largest city in the US and are not even noticed on the weather maps. I think it is Austin since I used to be an insurance adjuster and the body shops I dealt with there always charged more than the surrounding areas and when asked they said they were just that good to be able to demand it.

I'm in Houston too and said Austin...

I do believe Dallas tries to one up Houston all the time but lets be real here.. No one tries to show up the other cities in this state like Austin.. Just look at the whole "weird" thing and the University of Texas...

Well Houston is the 4th largest city, and most of the time, only Dallas shows up on weather maps, but city populations don't matter, Dallas is the biggest MSA in TX, and is the most well known, hence they will be placed in weathermaps, reguardless of city population that don't mean anything.

I refuse to vote since Mentone was not included as a choice.

I don't understand why people are voting for Austin in this? Austin may be a show off city like in Real World but it doesn't try nearly as hard as Dallas.

Dallas gets my vote all the way. Good call ladarron!

So why is New Orleans the next closest city? It's obviously smaller than Houston both proper and metro wise.
