OK.....what's your point???

I wasn't making an arguement about upscale; I was pointing out that Waco isn't better than Temple in shopping.

I'm done dealing with you; you must have too much time on your hands to be whining about something as simple as this.

There's a big problem if you don't see what the point is. But congrats on announcing your departure from this thread.

And I seem to notice you typing right here with me. Methinks someone else has too much time on their hands.

Thanks
It's WalMart's grocery or HEB. Either should be completely suitable for grocery needs.

There is no Kroger or HyVee in Temple or nearby.

The nearest Whole Foods would be in Austin.

I take it then Kroger and HYVee are like BJ's wholesale or Sam's club, or am I mistaken. The HEB and Wal-Mart sounds like that is about what I will need. And to everyone else thanks for your input, and I wasn't looking to start a debate. I was just looking to find out the shopping stores in the area seeings I have never been there, and it looks like I will be moving there in Mid January. Looks like I am in for quite the adventure. I am looking forward to the journey. Thanks tofurkey.

Errrr... I think you've been led off track some. Hy-Vee and Kroger are just regular old grocery stores (nothing like Sam's or BJ's). I was just making a comparison in case you had been to either. I think you understood me correctly the first time.

At any rate HEB is a pretty nice grocery store... can't say much about the Wal-Mart since I try to avoid that place like the plague.

Thanks for the tip on HY-Vee and kroger. Is wally world (wal-mart) really that bad that it is like the plague?

Just not a Wal-Mart person... never have been even in the other places I've lived. I used to have to go to one in Kansas City to find the coffee I like but HEB carries it so I no longer have any reason to head to Wal-Mart.

People usually hate Wal-Mart because they want to feel superior. Nothing is wrong with it.

That or it's a horrible shopping experience... appreciate the generalization though.
