What was the figures?

It cost every Arlington household over $200 a year in extra taxes to have Jerry's Stadium built in the city. Hope you all get your money's worth or maybe 1 free ticket.

There is not a single thing wrong with the Cotton Bowl except it doesn't have the flash that Jerryworld has. Cowboys Stadium, on the other hand, is ALL flash with little substance. The Cotton Bowl is a historic and iconic building and I guarantee it will be around long after they are bulldozing Cowboys Stadium for whatever suburb they decide to move the Cowboys to next.

Maybe one day we can at least get our own soccer team to play in it again. I haven't been to a FC Frisco game in years because I refuse to drive out there.
You are tripping...Cowboys fans have never been loud at the new stadium or Texas stadium...They are too snobby or think they are too good make noise to support their team I guess ....Jerry may need to ask Cowboys fans to be more rowdy like Mavericks and Rangers fan. Seriously my mom was at a restaurant down the street in Arlington and she could here Rangers fans going absolutely crazy during the baseball playoffs....I remember when the Texans played the Cowboys for the first time in Reliant stadium... that stadium was loud and it was rocking...The whole Cowboys team was in dismay just from the crowd noise....

You are missing my point. I'm not talking about the fans, which can be plenty apathetic at times. I agree. I'm talking about the stadium itself. I just don't like it. It's a giant, cavernous shell with bad acoustics. Football should be played outdoors, period. No worries, I expect most here disagree and are in awe of Cowboys Stadium's sheer size and super TV. It's just not for me.

Oh, you're one of those guys....

Look, we all know it's just your opinion and all, but Cowboys Stadium (and Texas Stadium) are just as iconic. Probably more so... it's arguable that both Cowboys and Texas had more worldwide recognition than the Cotton Bowl ever had, regardless of how long it's been around.

I agree with you. It is iconic. I also agree with him. It is a terrible stadium to watch a football game. You get the same complaints from Yankee fans about their new stadium.

No, but at least it was a lot closer to Downtown Dallas. Practically a stones throw away. Even Las Colinas would've made more sense than Arlington.

Cowboys Stadium does benefit somewhat from being in a more centralized location in the Metroplex, but on the down side its located in THE largest city in America without any form of public transit...Arlington, Texas which isn't even in Dallas County!

Cowboys stadium is the best stadium in the world period. Imagine it in the heart of Dallas with the skyline in the background.

The best stadium in the suburbs maybe, but not the World.
