I grew up in CA, having an In-N-Out burger under the palm trees. I was spoiled having the best burger known to man at my fingertips.

Now I live in TX, and I was told that nothing compares to Whataburger.

HA! Whatajoke! The burgers I had there were pathetic compared to In-N-Out. The taste does not even compare. In-N-Out serves burgers, I must sadly admit that what Whataburger sells does not deserve to be called a burger.

You Texans have not truly lived until you have had an In-N-Out burger!

I am thankful that there is finally something redeeming about TX, and that is that you now have an In-N-Out burger!!!

The way you Californians feel about In n out is how Texans feel about Whataburger.

To the OP...you're a brave soul. Now, prepare yourself for the onslaught of one-million Texans. p.s. you'll probably get at least one, "if you don't like it, then get out!"....and other jabs directed toward your state. I pray i'm wrong, but history tells me otherwise.

Im from California and I don't think In-n-Out is that good. It's ok.

It is consistent which is what I can appreciate about In-n-Out. Whataburger is not consistent. I've eaten a some that we're very good, some that were ok, and some which were awful.

Fatburger was the best. That's the burger I miss.

I agree, Whataburger sucks the big one. I much prefer In-N-Out... but Mooyah has the best burgers.

To the OP

You're a bit late on this tired year old debate. I had always thought and heard Californians were a progressive bunch of people. Guess I was wrong.

The prophecy has already come true.

I bet you I could walk in any of the In N Outs in D/FW right now and there would not be a long line if any line at all like the past several times I've been.

The newness wore off months ago just as I had predicted it would.

It's not even cool anymore to do a Facebook check in at In N Out.

Went to the one in Arlington to see what all the fuss is about and was quite underwhelmed. It's just an ordinary burger place albeit quite retro in the offerings (or lack of them).

If you're going to drive over to Arlington to get an old-style burger, the better choice would be the Kincade's a few blocks away in the same mega shopping complex. Kincade's is also truly local to Fort Worth and not some import from Corpus.

Kincaid's Hamburgers
