I don't care if an activity is subsidized or not as I enjoy modern society and subsidies are a part of that. I care if the changes they make are generally postively customer impacting or negatively customer impacting, and consider the TSA mostly negatively customer impacting. Making me take off my shoes and testing 2 oz jars of baby food like it's a nuclear weapon (personal experience) is definitely negatively impacting.

And I know way to many 'gentleman ranchers' to say horseback riding is not subsidized. That's ok too, I like ranches and ranching culture enough to help pay for it in a small way.

I'd extend it to Galveston. It's Houston's getaway spot, and I suppose it could be Dallas' too.

The TRE could drop a line from Centre Point to the Six Flags area, sponsored by regional committee. That would provide a high speed stop in the Arlington entertainment area and link to both D and FW downtowns, and add a route into D/FW. And run on Sundays.

These people need to get clever and plan for something much later on in this century rather than drive traffic into a cess pool.
