My point is....Most companies used to not even look at DT as was said previously. And when GS looked at downtown..Commerica Bank Tower was an option but not enough space was available.

They chose Victory Park instead of a suburb...This confirms a reverse Trend with the growing preference for the core.
ONE company (and it's not even a relocation) and it chose to have a building built for it in Uptown, when it just as easily could have had something built for it in downtown.

It is complete nonsense to pretend that companies relocating into DFW look first at downtown Dallas. There is massive evidence to the contrary and it's in the news for everyone to see quite frequently. Props to the downtown Dallas booster for being able to say that without giggling.

Ok...I see Dallas hurts your feelings about everything......Pack your bags and move up here... Because you need a break from your misery down there.... just come relax and see everything that's going on and you'll see why I express the love the way I do for my city....

I guess I just don't understand expressing love by telling tall tales. Seems more like an expression of subconscious disappointment. But you do you. At least you bring a lot of laughs.

Always? Kind of like the Trinity River Park that has been "coming soon" for at least 40 years? Or maybe you mean like the money to build the DART D2 line that should have already been under construction? Or the original 80 story Field Street tower proposal that was trumpeted as the future tallest building in the city, then shortened to 45 stories?

Every region gets false-starts and fanciful proposals that never go anywhere and/or meet expectations due to a lack of anticipated funding (or demand) - Dallas is certainly not immune to these outcomes.

TBH, I careless about the convention center and more about Fair Park. That’s getting less funding and I don’t like that at all. That’s our major cultural asset that need to be restored.

All of these things will still happen.....Still no worries.

And if you lived here you would see that they have already started the Sammons Park in the Trinity.

In the meantime....The road to that status for all six is a constant work in progress. It will be so different in all of these cities in just a few short years,,,,And I can't wait to see it.

Post developments in the cores of each core so we can all learn the most current development phase in each. Also post future projects to help paint the vision for each city.....WE ARE ALL TEXAN...progress in ANY city benefits us all.....This Corona virus will not hold Texas back....we will Bounce back the quickest.

Las Colinas added 21, 000 employees in five years. I am willing to bet that that growth going on in the area north of DFW Airport makes it the fastest growing business district in Texas especially when you consider how the other close by employment centers are also booming.
