There is no way Paxton is leading with double digits. Nor Patrick. I anticipate they will both win but the margins will be MUCH closer.

This is likely correct.

Why would anyone who loves a progressive state and it's progressive values move to Texas?

Plenty of reasons people move: life-circumstances, job situation (unable to find jobs elsewhere), weather preference etc. I think regional politics would be on a lower list of priorities people would consider when moving.

It’s a challenge, to go to a state being run by idiots and fix it

Texas is 46TH in voting access.

Maybe keep that in mind next time you criticize Texans for not being able to vote out their politicans.

Why not make it easy and just do 100% mail in voting like Colorado? So easy, I miss it.

"Certainly every state has a lot of things that have been put in place to prevent voter fraud, so a lot of safeguards are in place. It’s not necessarily easy to commit voter fraud. It does happen — it’s pretty episodic and rare, though. But, the fact that it does happen some – that’s what gets into the news and that’s sort of what reinforces the belief that it’s just completely rampant. [Editor’s note: In Colorado, the conservative-leaning Heritage Foundation has documented 16 cases of voter fraud in the entire state since 2005.]"

Now in Texas - a lot more than 16 - about 100 in the same time frame.
https://www.heritage.org/voterfraud/...fraud_type=All

All these Abbott laws to "combat election fraud" and ranked 46 in voter access shows ineptitude by Abbott/Paxton/Patrick (not to mention Uvalde incompetence by Abbott hired people, grid, etc.).

Yet only 16 in the same time frame with the supposedly "easy to commit fraud" mail in ballots?

Maybe you can go back in time and tell Rick Perry not to incentivize companies to move here. Thats why I and my blue votes are here.

Moving here is one thing. Actively trying to destroy the culture that invited you in is a colonizers mentality. Liberals are like parasites, they move in to a host and destroy it then move on to the next one. They will not be happy until they have made every part of America like the ones they are leaving behind.

How does one actively try and destroy the culture of a place? Simply by voting blue? If politics is your culture, it sucks.

I live in Houston where the city thrives on different types of cultures. If youre looking for the stereotypical Texas culture, it isnt here. There is no "Texas culture" to destroy. Same could be said for Dallas and Austin.

People are allowed to move where they please and they don't have to vote like anyone thinks they should.
