I’m not sure what you mean by looking more Hispanic than Asian. In a sense Filipinos look sort of like American Indians more than Chinese, if that’s what you mean. Very few Filipinos have more than a tiny amount of Spanish dna. I think on average they have more Chinese than Spanish dna because there were a decent amount of Chinese that used to live there.
Indians (from India) also get categorized as Asian in the US but racially they are nothing like the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans etc.

BTW, Brazilians also think of themselves as Latinos/Hispanic
This is not true in Mexico. If this is true from whichever country you are from, I don't think it works in reverse. I've heard Spaniards from Madrid refer to Latin American immigrants as Latinos to distinguish them from the natives.

It’s not true in Dopo’s hometown of Punto Fijo, Venezuela either. While I agree that they don’t cry about race as much as we do in USA, I’m not going to lie about this.

Really,
Are you saying that all the people in Venezuela with non-Spanish last names like Franco De Vita, Gabriela Spanic, Marjorie De Sousa, etc. are not considered "latinos"?
I bet $1000 that if you told them that they are not latino, they'll respond: "Tu como que eres mar....?"

They are south Asian.

Also;
Pretty sure it is true in Mexico. They might be called chino or whatever but they are still considered Mexican if they are born in Mexico. This is what I am always told at least.

They are referred to as Hindus in Mex (even though I know its the religion and not nationality or race). But I think I was misquoted somewhere, I was referring to Dopos comment of "anybody that spoke Spanish was considered Latino" specifically Europeans.

I thought he was talking about race. Somebody born in Europe that moves to Mexico is not Mexican, but obviously there are Mexicans that have pure European blood
