it does sound a little bold of a claim, as there is only one 700+ footer under construction, but there are a couple 40 story residential towers under construction, and many more 20-30 story buildings going up across the city.

GHP Building - ~24 story Office/Hotel
Marriott Marquis - 29 story hotel
George R Brown Convention Center - 30,000 sq ft of retail additions fronting Discovery Green; new entrance facade
Hampton Inn/Homewood Suites - 14 story hotel
Catalyst - 28 story residential
Hilcorp Tower - 23 story office
Texaco Building - residential conversion
609 Main - 48 story office tower
Residences at Market Square - 32 story residential
Market Square Tower - 40 story residential tower
