How far have you driven in one day?

I once drove from Overland Park, Kansas to Nashville, Tennessee. It was 600 miles and took me 14 hours with all the stops.

longest: Reston, VA to Little Rock, AR (1000 miles)

Driving at night through the Smokey Mtns near Chattanooga was probably the trickiest part of the trip.

Little Rock, AR to Carlsbad, NM
Carlsbad, NM to Globe, AZ
Globe, AZ to La Jolla, Ca

In the other direction...

Santa Clara, CA to Needles, CA
Needles, CA to Santa Rosa, NM
Santa Rosa, NM to Little Rock, AR
Little Rock, AR to Knoxville, TN

I've driven Miami to Atlanta countless times, usually about 10 hours
Atlanta to New Orleans, I think it was about 8
And Atlanta to Chicago, that was about 10 or 11

This summer I drove 8000 miles, the longest day was from Page, AZ to Idaho Falls, ID, 600miles.

In March of 2006 my husband and I drove from Lynnwood, WA to Austin, TX 50hrs, we stopped twice for 4hrs of rest each time...

Lynnwood, WA to Boise, ID - 520miles, 9hrs

Boise, ID to Denver, CO - 830miles, 13hrs

Denver, CO to Austin, TX - 1063miles, 18hrs

Fourteen years ago I partnered with a co-worker and drove a 25ft Ryder truck straight through from Lynnwood, WA to Los Angeles, CA 1150miles, 23hrs.

The Feds only allow me to drive 11 hours and then I must take a 10-hour break, That way, I'll be well-rested so that I can get back on the road and drive defensively for the far too many Americans who hit the road with their minds as well as their bodies on vacation...

When I subbed for another driver on one of our dedicated team runs, we left Dayton, OH at noon on Monday and delivered in Anaheim, CA on Wednesday evening at 10 pm (local time) That's stopping only for fuel. (leave with a fresh shower and shower again after delivery) And even if I'd been single, I wouldn't have had ANY time to get amorous with the very attractive woman I drove team with.

The longest without trading drivers in one day:
from KC, MO to Houston, TX
about 740 miles and 12+/- hours

Longest in one day with swapping drivers (and 3 little kids/2 dogs in the car):
from Twin Falls, ID to Mesa (Phoenix), AZ
about 900 miles and 19 hours

That last one was part of our 5 day move from Boise, ID to Atlanta, GA. We had to avoid winter weather and took the long way....ID to AZ to west TX to western LA to GA......amazing we made it in one piece!!

We drove from East Hartford, CT to Charlotte, NC... It would have been 12 or so hrs without stops. We stopped a few times, so it took about 16-18, if I remember correctly?
