They all seem cool to me. The one that didn't make it to the list was Eva airlines. I don't really trust them much. China airlines was a lot nicer, but maybe I was comparing it from a decade in between both traveling experiences.

International flights were so much more fun 15 years ago compared to today. More enjoyable, overall.

How can you not trust an airline that uses Hello Kitty planes?

airliner I don't trust is Airbus A-319. The servo motors in the upper fuselage sound like they are winding the rubber band as you taxi out to the runway.

couple that with Emergency exit rows reserved for flight attendants wearing parachutes and you have 'Hobo Airlines' (Spirit) (?)... yup you best be prepared to arrive at a different destination as a Spirit. Scary!

But I'm insured & desperate, so I will take their $19,90 fares from PDX to SAN for sun breaks.

I do not trust Etihad Airways. It is one of those airlines which have seriously gone downhill in last few years. Etihad Airways have a policy to harass passengers on Carry On Luggage even if they are within the prescribed limit in size and weight requirements. Their staff is trained in snatching carry-on luggage from passengers at any cost.
I also do not trust American Airlines and United Airlines for International travel. Both American and United have poor service. Their Food as well as Beverage service/quality is not at par. Their baggage allowance is one of the worst in the world. They charge passengers for basic things like Beer/wine or for headphones.

Beer and wine are available in the main cabin on most International flights for free on DL and AA. They do charge for ear buds as most people have their own. They offer the same as most other airlines as far as baggage. One checked, one carry on, and one small personal item. In all honesty they have less restrictive baggage policies than many of the Internationals which now weigh carry ons.

You need to check baggage policy of US airlines again with other airlines. Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways, Air India, Emirates, Qatar all give baggage allowance of 2 bags of 23 kilos (46 kilos) for say flight from US to India. If you book on United or American, your baggage allowance is restricted to 23 kilos. You have to fork out more money for 2nd bag.
I travelled on American Airlines from Chicago to Manchester (UK) and I was charged 6 dollars for 1 Beer. Same on Newark-Delhi United Airlines flight, I was charged for headphones , charged for Beer and given only 1 bag allowance of 23 kilos. Air India gives 46 kilos and they serve alcohol as well as give headphones on the same route (DEL-JFK). I gave two examples of USA to India and USA to Europe. Same holds true for other destinations also on US airlines. 23 kilos and 46 kilos allowance makes a lot of difference.
Delta is slightly better in terms of Beer/Wine on Europe-USA routes.

I guess baggage allowance isn't important to me because I travel light with only my carry on bag and a small personal item. I think it's absurd how much crap people pack--completely unnecessary crap.

There's no reason you should have been charged for the beer on an AA international flight. I wonder if you ordered an upgraded beer over the standard offerings? Go read their web site if you don't believe me. Beer and wine are complimentary in the main cabin.

Baggage is important for me. Infact it is impornat for most of the people who are going for a long period of time. Imagine a student or a worker going for a long period of time and 23 kilos vs 46 kilos makes a lot of difference. If you are going somewhere for 3 months, then also you will carry only one Carry-On Bag? There is a difference between Domestic travel for a weekend holiday or a meeting and International travel.

Inflight Beverage Selection | United Airlines

I was charged on ORD-MAN AA flight. So this means that AA have different rules for different destinations. United will not serve alcohol at all. Delta is nice.

I have traveled for eight weeks with a carry on and small personal item. I take only my cross body and a small tote or handbag when traveling for a weekend. Perhaps you might want to consider learning how to pack lighter.

I have another idea. I will avoid AA and United and I will give my business to those Airlines (Foreign) which do not believe in such Rationing and Cheapness from passengers. US Airlines are taking passengers for granted. Poor Seat pitch, poor food, beverages, pay for entertainment, pay for Beer/Wine, pay for extra baggage. We pay for Full-Service and are treated like garbage.
