Travelpro makes three different levels. The bottom and middle ones are so-so. The top one is good, but even most crew agree, not as good as it used to be. Five years is an infant for a top quality bag used as a roll aboard.

I also have a Tumi International Carry-on sized case. It's wonderful. So many of the suitcases claim to be carry-on sized, but they don't include in their measurements things like handles and wheels. This one does, and it also holds quite a bit for a small case.

Agree. Mine is 20" floor to handle. They recess roller blade wheels making them almost impossible to break, but extremely stable. The handle also recesses, and is inside the bag which offers further protection.

I made it a point to contact Tumi before I ordered the suitcase to ask them. I had bought an Eagle Creek carry-on prior to this purchase, and found out soon after that they had not measured it properly in their ad. I wasn't going to do that a second time.

Tumi or Louis Vuitton. I have both. They're great.

Louis Vuitton is ridiculously expensive. You are paying for a lifestyle brand, not better quality.

Well, it held up after my brother borrowed it twice. So, that's definitely saying something about its sturdiness.

Tumi is #1 if you want a high quality bag that will last. They are very expensive, but they have great styling and designs as well as being durable. I bought a rolling hanger bag a few years ago and it has flown many miles. Still looks great.

I had no idea luggage costs so much. Or at least the brands mentioned on here. Usually $300+, but I guess you have to pay for something built to last. Thanks for the responses so far.
