I may be moving to Tri Cities for a job..The job is in Pasco but I'd probably live in either Kennewick or Richland. I went on Craig's list to see what kind of housing they have and all I could really find were apartments in big complexes. I don't want to live in a complex as I've had my share of them in my life and never have had good luck having good neighbors. The last complex I lived in was so loud so after that I said no more. I'm also very sensitive to cigarette smoke so the place has to be non-smoking. No exceptions. I love where I live right now in Spokane... an attic apartment in an old Victorian house..very quiet, safe neighborhood. Any advice on where I could find either a nice room or apartment for rent that is not in a big complex? Does anyone know if the Alphabet houses in Richland are ever rented out? I like places with history and charm.. It's too bad the Tri Cities are not closer to Spokane or I'd commute but that would be a lot of driving everyday! Any advice on sites aside from Craig's list would be appreciated..Thank you!

Suit yourself, you would be going against the main flow of traffic, but I would not want to live in North Richland (where the letter houses are) and commute to Pasco daily.

If you can swing renting a house you could look in Burbank, you might find a house for rent in Pasco proper.

The rental market here is tight, good luck.
