Daymond never does deals. Why is he even on there??
I'm going to get myself a scrub daddy. Need to support the guy!
I think their 'fortunes' vary considerably, as is stated in the opening intro. Depending on how your investments are doing as well as your expenses, you only have so much to play around with. Even winning a million dollars, tax free, in one lump sum, would not be enough to give up your job and live the rest of your life in comfort.
I did not even realize there was a Shark tank thread. Anyone else watching it lately?? I do not watch too much on ABC.I do feel they have a winner here.
I love watching Shark Tank. It doesn't dumb things down for the audience or make people pitching their ideas jump through hoops to try to get a deal. I always like to try to say whether I'd offer a deal and for how much. And my wife and I often try to guess the offer a shark is going to make if they make one. When you watch enough, you learn the tendencies of the different sharks, such as what products they prefer, what kind of deals they try to make, etc, which I think makes it more fun.
Maybe I'm a mean person, but I love when someone doesn't know what they're doing and they get raked over the coals for it.

I don't watch it all the time but when I do I enjoy it. I think I enjoy seeing the inventions and ideas that are brought up in the show more than the haggling by the sharks, though the haggling, and critical remarks, is fun to watch too.
A little side note, several posts above someone posted a link about Cuban being on trial for insider trading .. he was cleared of that by the court.
i believe tonight's show was a rerun. First time I have seen it. All 5 Sharks throw in together for a Million Bucks. Cuban wanted to buy it for himself for $750,000 !!
I love the show and look forward to it every week.
I had to laugh at the fact I get so frustrated with Kevin O'Leary and his "one dollar for each unit sod in perpetuity" royalty deals and now even the sharks are getting frustrated with it. They rib him all the time "oh here it comes another O'Leary royalty deal!"
For those that don't know ........ Kevin owns the program, as in he and Herjavec are the Executive Producers of Shark Tank.
They are both Canadians, and their CBC TV production, Dragon's Den, was the blue print for Shark Tank.
They also own the Dragon's Den concept and a BBC show that is similar.
Kevin is a multi talented guy , and his business success is real. He has a daily business TV show on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, called Lang and O 'Leary, with Amanda Lang, a well respected business commentator.
As I said, a multi talented man. He is also a very good rock guitarist, with a large collection of signed models from various rock legends.
