Did anyone else watch The Killing premeir on AMC? I didn't hate it but I just could NOT stand that woman chomping on her gum in every scene. She chews like a horse! I hope they make that stop.

I liked it and thought the acting was great.
Maybe she just quit smoking?

I liked it the gum chewing did not really bother me . I dont like Billy Campbell because he always plays an abusive charecter seems like . But I do like the dark haired woman that played the mother of rosie (the dead girl) , I remember her from the guiding light . I dont know any of the other charecters . It seems like it will be interesting .

Very realistic characters. I thought it was excellent, very film noire and European. I had to keep on turning from THE APPRENTICE & was so caught up in "The Killing" that I totally forgot all about the Donald Trump show.

I liked it. Shades of Damages and Twin Peaks without the quirkiness, but it's good, hopefully not too predictable.

I didn't notice that much gum chewing.

she did it in some scenes
thought her son deserved a smack--he obviously is taking advantage of her guilt over falling in love with the guy who wants her to marry him

even thought it was fairly decent transformation from the obnoxous new detective she was paired with--he annoyed me to no end initially but when he tricked those girls into trusting him (abeit illegally) to find out about the cave under the school--good detective work...

some good choices for who the murderer is--
and excellent secondary actors including the one mentioned previously--the mom of the murdered girl--
the guy playing the father is also very good--have seen him before in cop roles himself

would really love to see the Danish version that played on BBC4 that caused the AMC version--
anyone have any clue as to how to access that--not playing on BBC America any time soon and not available on US version of DVDs

I didn't even notice any gum chewing.

This feels like the kind of show where waiting a week between episodes will feel like torture.

Wow! I'm really surprised no one noticed the chomping. Well it was definitely just me then.

I am excited to see the next show, though!
