Ive been meaning to bump this thread. Only halfway through episode 1 so ill be back in a couple of days :P
I would like to know the deal with the charcoal though.

It's 'hey' not 'hay'.

Yes. She expected that woman to knock on the door then. She was just teasing her brother. There have been a lot of subtle implications, all through the production, that some energy was happening between the two of them. I like actors who can be subtle and I like writers who convey concepts with things left unsaid.

Oh my goodness, this show is wonderful. Wow! I know I'm engaged in a period drama when I start searching for the real history behind the drama. I've learned a lot about the Borgias and Renaissance Italy in the past couple of weeks.

And I gotta say, that Francois Arnaud is a keeper.
