Though Adam and Blake are my favorites, I think the addition of Shakira and Usher is a positive thing. For those of you who aren't familiar with Shakira, she's is not merely a world-famous Latin/pop singer, but she is also of genius-level intelligence, speaks several languages and is a smart businesswoman. She will hold her own among those guys, believe me. And as for Usher, his smile just lights up a room, making me forgive him for Justin Bieber.

As for the talent last night, wow! Judith Hill really stood out for me, and I was very impressed by the young Country singer and the guy who had the unique rendition of "I'm Sexy And I Know It" also.

So far, it's looking like another great season!

Enjoyed last nights show... I didn't have to look at the lump of crap Cee-Lo and Pm'sing Christina... They can stay away!!!

Never Listened to Shakira - she's cute.....

For the Young 16 Year old Country Singer. I truly think she can sing - But I don't think she's Strong enough in her voice Yet... I knew right away They would grab her, but as I said, her voice isn't strong enough yet... I do see talent in her...

I'm not going to miss Christina, Shakira seems so much more sincere and genuine. My hubs said he already misses Christinas cleavage though, ha!

I think I'm going to like the new crew also.

Loved the teenage girl who sang the Taylor Swift song. She just beamed when the judges started turning around. I felt so happy and proud for her.

I don't know who has the bigger crush on Adam, my teenage daughter or me. I'll let her have him, Blakes pretty cute too.

(I'm new here and happy to see a thread dedicated to the Voice. Hope y'all don't mind me dropping by.)

I enjoyed the show last night, but I wish I understood the criteria for getting on the show. It seems like more and more contestants have been making a career out of music before they ever auditioned. Judith Hill is a professional musician and was set to duet with Michael Jackson before he died. Judith Hill

I think two of the guys have either cut records or had deals that didn't quite come off. The last 3 winners have all been at least semi-professional as well.

I guess if the object is to pick The Voice, it makes sense, because all these people have great voices. But there's something to be said for the thrill that comes from hearing someone sing who has never done so professionally, or who has never performed in front of a big crowd. But I don't think that any of those people stand a chance against a seasoned professional.

^^ agree. They should be totally unknowns, having not been signed before. There was good talent last night but the highight for me were the judges. It's going to be good season. Welcome to the forum catscan!

LOVE the new judges! I do miss CeeLo but I like Usher, too. LOVE LOVE LOVE Shakira! She is sooo funny and cute! They should keep her and ditch the full-of-herself Xtina for good. There is just a better feel among this panel of judges, I think.

There is no doubt that Judith Hill is tremendous - but it's not fair, she is already a pro, way too pro for this show IMO. Why put in such an obvious ringer?

I actually prefer some of the others. I thought the little country girl was so cute, and her voice so pure. I think she might go far. I really love those twins! LOL at Blake drooling..... I like the guy who sang the Whitney song - all in all a very entertaining episode. Yes, I'm giving up DWTS for this also, like I did last time. That show has "jumped the shark" for me, and this one is so much better!

This is one reality show I actually watch. Like the way they put shows together. Like the judges. Singers are good.

I agree, each contestant on the show should be a rookie who's never had any career in music. Being a pro is definitely an unfair advantage.
