Loved the finale!! I always hate to wait until next season to find out if George and/or Izzy live. I was SHOCKED when Grey figured out the John Doe was George....

Everyone reacts differently in a situation like this. You have no idea until it happens to you.

Default 007

Does anyone know the significance of 007? When George wrote in Meredith's hand 007, she then knew it was George - how?

It's a reference to the first season. Episode one, in fact. The other interns are watching George's first surgery and when he messes up, they start calling him 007 - licensed to kill. In the finale, Alex calls him 007 again when they are talking about George enlisting.

Been watching since the first season, but in the beginning of this season I almost gave up on this show mainly because of Izzie and Denny. Sex with a ghost?? Anyway, I am glad I kept up with it and I totally agree - that was a good season finale, a good 2 hrs, too. Also, I really like how they got Christina and Army Doc back on track! Since I don't listen to celebrity gossip I didn't know about the contract disputes or who wants out - I like not knowing. This season finale is along the level of the one waaaaay back in 1980 - who shot JR?!

Oops, forgot....The first time "John Doe" was trying to write something to Meredith I thought maybe it was her dad until the young woman he saved described him and didn't mention him being older. Of course when Chief said he sent George home early it came together. Great 2 hrs! Does anyone else think they are showing more guts than they used to. I don't care one way or the other but it has an "ER" feel to it when they do it that much.

I felt the same way at the beginning of this season about the "sex with a ghost". I thought to myself that they must be really running out of good writers. But they really made up for it. Excellent 2 hour.

The doc and Kristina storyline gets to me. I can't get over his "fangs". He is a good actor though. I thought that the scene of Meredith and Shepard in the locker room with a sticky note was really romantic. It was really good to see the show's direction steer away some of this couple's drama.

Anywhoo, can't wait for the next season either.

On another topic, why the hellz is Callie broke? Isnt she supposed to be some kinda heiress ala Paris Hilton????
I mean - she is a doctor. She makes a salary. Hell her medical school was probably all paid in full as she went by her dad so she has her full salary while everyone else is paying school loans. It makes no sense that she's broke.

Thats what I was thinking....If her daddy is uber rich wouldnt her schooling have been on the house basically?

Someone mentioned relationship with Arizona....was that the psuedo lesbian relationship she had with Hahn? Im kinda behind on the show...ok alot behind.
