I like both, but if I had to choose, I would choose Trapper. BJ was a little preachy for my liking

Trapper was a player. A serial adulterer. What's to like about someone with that character?
Well.............guys probably like him but I would be willing to bet more women dislike him.

I preferred BJ, but only because I preferred Mike Farrell. Wayne Rogers was irritating, I thought.

I'm a BJ fan too. The Trapper character was okay but I agree that Rogers was irritating - his on screen laugh was always forced and phony. He probably realized that he couldn't laugh on cue so he may have thought laughing louder would help. It didn't help.

The show was funnier with Trapper, more serious with BJ. I prefer Trapper.

Could not agree more.

IMHO, it died with the loss of Trapper, Frank, and Henry. Then Alda took over the show, made Hot Lips into Margaret and did a sermon every week.

Ah, don't get me started.
