For me, I just loved Frank Burns and his 'high and mighty' attitude and the battle-of-wits with Hawkeye and Trapper

Charles all the way!

Personally I think Mash was one of the greatest shows at effectively replacing major characters. Potter, BJ and Charles were all inspired casting choices.

yes!! Charles!!

The best seasons to me were those with Charles,Potter and BJ.

I liked Henry Blake ok but Frank was too annoying. Way too annoying and inept.
I couldn't stand Trapper.

I can't choose. Frank was such a buffoon, Charles such a snob. Charles could be likeable in a vulnerable way sometimes when he let his guard down, which always endears a character to me. Frank, what can you say about Frank? He was funny, but in a laughing AT him way, not laughing with him.

Henry was OK, but did not command the respect that Potter did. Henry was not CO material in my opinion. Now Potter overlooked a lot, but he pulled in the reigns, when he had to.

Henry was more interested in being your best friend than Commander

I remember an argument between Potter and Hawkeye

Potter: If you don't straighten up and fly right, I'll have you yanked out of here so fast your head will spin

Hawkeye: Can I have that in writing?

I liked Charles better.

Frank was funnier if you wanted someone to mock. But his character was kind of flat and his bits were a little too slapstick. He was so consistently obnoxious as well as stupid to the point of being a moron that it got old. Charles was a much more complex character. Had his obnoxious moments, but had his good moments, too. His flaws seemed more interesting because you could see how some had developed.

Most importantly, he was a good surgeon. Although the original joke of incompetency in the army was funny, it got overdone and then it got tiresome. I'm glad they decide to tone the incompetent boobs gag down a bit, and both the Col. and Frank Burns were replaced with characters who had flaws but were also competent at their jobs.

Charles.

I loved his music.

I really miss that show.

I miss the theme music even though the title of the song is "Suicide is Painless." ahahahahaha

Did anybody really "like" Frank? His character was not as bad as in the movie, but he was still pretty bad.
