Its my comfort show, where the original Law & Order used to be for me. I could never buy into the Deputy Chief Johnson character and i like the rebooted Captain Raydor.
Monday can't get here soon enough. I assume this season is basically a Phillip Stroh manhunt. The sooner that guy is put down the better. Other than that I guess the only other thing is Rusty coming out to the rest of the squad. So far only Ray or and Provenza know. I'm happy that my summer favorites are slowly returning. Murder in the First must be back on Monday as well. I liked season 1. And in another couple weeks Falling Skies and The Last Ship will be back as well. I'll be needing these couple days to do a little more DVR weeding. Not to mention finally catch up on Wayward Pines. The premiere episode was interesting
I hope it is not a Stroh hunt. The budget has always been a big part of the franchise and manhunting is supposed to be a SIS from the SOB responsibility. Hopefully he left the Southland and the US Marshal can go after him off screen

Yes, Des, Murder In the First, starts right after Major Crimes next Monday.
Well Captain Raydor literally put the Stroh file in the drawer and pulled Rusty's protective detail. With rumors of him making it to Europe. At least at the moment it won't be a Stroh hunt while trying to work the crime of the week. Might he pop back up as we move towards a season finale?
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Stroh pop back into the story as we near season's end. He comes across as the type that doesn't like to leave loose ends. And a small degree of payback for putting him in jail.
As for right now i'm happy with the usual murder of the week. The premiere didn't disappoint. "Mommy's too controlling so I'll con my boyfriend into killing her". It had me shaking my head. These are the times we live in ladies and gents

I am 90 percent sure that I have seen the plot of a girl getting a boyfriend to murder her parents on Law and Order.
