Jackie was always such a mess but is a life coach now. Hhahahahhahaha.
I was reading a review about the show and the writer pointed out that Jackie looks like she's received shock treatment. That's pretty accurate. I don't remember her being this crazy in the original. I've been recording old episodes and watching as a refresher. I think it's in season 2 right now.
So far so good from where I'm sitting. It's been funny and that's the one thing I expect when it comes to sitcoms: make me laugh. It's been a far cry better than the ridiculous final season 20 years ago when they won the lottery. I do however miss the sarcastic snarky Darlene. 20 years has apparently mellowed her. Where the heck is David? He hasn't been mentioned once. My guess is he up and left. I don't remember Beccy being this ditzy. Does anyone else? And she never finished high school? Jeez. I patiently await tomorrow night's episode.

Becky was always ditzy.
I'm sure they had to write David in with a minimal role since he already has an obligation to Big Bang Theory. It would be funny if he was at the Conners' house and Penny showed up at the door looking for him!

Plus Johnny Galecki is exec producing another sitcom on CBS...something about religion?

Or Sheldon with that silly repeated knocking of his.
I think tonight's episode was a step in the right direction. I'm not interested in Darlene's kids so I was glad to see it focused on the core family. Get DJ some more screen time and I'll be happy.

I enjoyed the episode tonight and I think one of the reasons was that it was the exact right Jackie balance.
She actually had something more to do than shouting a couple of lines. First time this season that I felt she's been used well in the show.
I do wonder if they're ret-conning Andy out? The whole noone loves you and you have noone to love thing.. You'd think her son would come up somewhere in the conversation. Odd, but interesting toss in of her former career as a police officer.
