From her rap days she brings an audience expectation that Dana wouldn't. Sort of like Chuck Norris brought in a preexisting street cread to Walker before his slow motion as opposed to shaky cam action scenes

But Seriously Queen Latifah is an Academy award winning Actress with a might long catalog in Acting as well as Music. Her Fan base is Immense and will support this show, if the Writing is good. I've been a huge of hers musically snice 1989

I'll give it a shot just because I love it how the internet explodes when someone legally does something with their own property that others don't like. I liked the Denzel movies well enough, but TV needs to be more clever and character/story driven and less about fight scenes and fx. I am cognizant of the fact that QL will be scrutinized far more than say... Liam Neeson would of being able to clear a whole room full of badies.
This is just Michael Sloan wanting to cash in on a brand. He copied Callan from the UK and the original Equalizer could almost be considered the sequel to Callan. Sloan didn't write any scripts. He just wrote the pilot and slapped his name on the product after lifting the main character from Callan. Coleman Luck fleshed out Robert McCall and gave the character a lot of his depth.
Most of the original character was wiped out in the stupid movies and Sloan just collects the checks.
Have no issue with the Queen but want no part of another rip off of someone else's ideas.
