You're right - he's a hard worker and I'm guessing most of his wealth comes from his production company.

has big shoes to fill....Pat Sajak, like Alex Trebek...just about perfect for the show.
Vanna White, in a TV interview awhile back, said when she was hosting for Pat she was not comfortable in that position. So it's no surprise she's that she is not even considered.
As far as money she should be happy with what she has gained over the years, especially coming up from a waitress to pushing her finger on a TV show monitor screen.
