If I were him, I think that I would prefer to be naked as well In fact, if I were him, I would probably just sit around all day looking at myself naked
He strikes me as having a very healthy outlook with regard to the naked body.

I hope they USE that while filming.

When Lafayette rescued Tara from Marianne's clutches, a PP commented on why Lafayette escaped the spell. We thought it was because he had vamp blood. Marianne told Tara that she had been called forth by Tara herself when Tara sought help from the exorcist. When Lafayette asked Sookie to describe what she saw in Tara's mind, Sookie said it was utter chaos. Lafayette's response: That sounds nice. Did Lafayette summon Marianne with that remark? Also, when the Sam and Arlene's kids were on the way to see Eric, the kids brought up Arlene's first husband. I wonder if there was a reason for that scene.

I don't know but I'd like to see the Arlene tattoo on his stomach if he shows up.

I've been trying to place the actress at the Queen's place who is Sookie's cousin. I think it's the actress (Laura Harris) that was the schoolgirl alien queen in the movie The Faculty but I'm not sure. It's not on that actresses' IMDb page. Does anyone know the actresses' or the character's name in True Blood?

Will we see a werewolf next season? Are there any in the books?

The actress is Lindsey Haun.

I am a latecomer to True Blood; having joined in Season 2 (I think the first episode I saw was when Lafayette returned from the torture and was all sick...until Eric came to "heal" him). By bf had Season 1 on DVD and I watched the whole thing this weekend. Here is my take so far (having not read the books):

1) Sookie is way more powerful than anyone probably realizes.
2) I was shocked at how much Tara's accent changed from season 1 to season 2. It was far more backwoods southern in the first season...
3) Jason's is just annoying to me...I don't know why. I realize that not every character on the show can have depth, but he is just a caricature practically
4) I am really ambivalent about Bill. In season 1 he was a standout vampire...unique with his feelings, morality and intelligence. In season 2 he's lost in the woodwork...mainly to having so many other vampires thrown into the mix. He's like the dad in the sitcom; and that's not cool. He doesn't even have the hero thing going for him anymore. WTF?
5) Seeing season 1 made me appreciate Sam so much more; although he is very reminiscent of Twilight's Jacob Black - the gracious loser of the girl...
6) Lafayette makes this frickin' show! They way he acts and what he says is some of the most genuine stuff I've seen on TV in a long time! My favorite scenes with him is when in season 1 he beat up the rednecks for thinking the hamburger had AIDs and in season 2 when he ran up in Sookie's house to save Tara from Maryann.
7) I have not encountered a villian as annoying as Maryann since seeing Shelia on the Young & The Restless/Bold & The Beautiful. I am tired of seeing her face...can't wait until she dies! Speaking of B&B, thank you to the poster who noticed that Daphne was Bridgette from there...I kept wondering where I knew her from!
8) Why did they kill off Sookie's grandmother? They should have killed off Hoyt's mother...
9) I STILL don't understand why Amy (the chick who was with Jason) was killed by Rene. She never slept with vampires...I don't think. That just didn't add up.
10) Why was Godric's death in the sunlight so different from when Bill went in the sunlight to go rescue Sookie from Rene?
11) Still not understanding the vampire hierarchy...and/or how that TV bitchy vamp fits into it
12) Eggs was a stupid match for Tara...he's so boring. I hope he's the one to be sacrificed in the season finale!

Overall I think the show is fantastic! I like the adult themes and humor; coupled with nice doses of real life issues (like Tara's mother, Arlene's relationship/parenting issues, Lafayette making gay soft porn to upload on the internet). I like Bill and would prefer him to keep Sookie rather than lose her to Eric. I wish there was more done with his character in season 2 though; like seeing some progress or struggles with his choice to "mainstream" and be more human. In the 1st season, there were some parallels drawn between the integration of vampires into society and the civil rights movement that occurred for both African-Americans and gays. This was not really explored in season 2 because of all the supernatural stuff going on. So I feel season 1 was better plot-wise...although season 2 has been more entertaining.

Now for Season 3, I think it will belong to Eric. Which will be awesome. He is my favorite vampire to watch. He is not as conflicted about himself as Bill is and he is oozing confidence...which is always great to watch. Plus he just looks like something supernatural and I think it will be really hard for Sookie to resist him once he really starts pulling out his bag of tricks. Again though, I would hope that she stays with Bill in that Eric is undoubtedly evil and Sookie is too sweet for a guy like that!

It takes a while to take effect - after a human has drank from a vampire. The vamp in the basement was killed quickly, so perhaps Jason never had the chance to realize the attraction.

2nd others' answers about the age of the vampire also.

Jason has annoyed me in the past, but now I appreciate him. He's a riot. Not all the characters have to be deep thinkers. LOL. I've finally got DH to watch TB. He thinks Jason looks like G.W. Bush. I agree about Lafayette.

I think the Queen shouldn't date an underling.

Say, do you ever wonder if the vampire cast of True Blood has it in their contracts that they can't get a tan in the off-season?
