Perhaps I'm not understanding your question exactly but harsh words often damage the relationship, feelings, trust and confidence. Try telling your kid they are stupid every day or referring to your spouse as the 'help' and see what happens. How about when you go out you shout at your spouse for everyone to hear and show your dissatisfaction publicly, or even in front of the kids. It's not true that words will never hurt you and treating people badly will damage the relationship.

Quotes for what??

More talking at the TV saying in disbelief,"I can't believe she just said that!"

LOL. That's the only reason I watch the show now. That and of course to see the Maddy meltdowns.

I agree with writing letters too.

I was reading wiki the other day, J&K+8 actually started on the Discovery channel, then TLC picked it up. Of course they are related channels..

If you go to their (TLC/Discovery) main site you can see they are in no way about what they used to be about.

I finally caught the finale last night, you could see it was done at the same time as Jon's drinking binge while at his mothers.
I also didn't think that J&K were distant to each other. I'm going to watch it again but I could see that it was "clever" editing. Some of the things Jon was saying; it was like WTF brought that on? Knowing the story behind what happened, it was obvious he was trying to say all he could about what happened.

I actually saw Acess Tonight to a clip on the last episode last night with a Body Laungage guy. I thought they looked very apart. It was interesting because they stopped the tape and pointed out body moves. It was clear that Jon was not there. He made a statement that he can't just be Jon he has to ne Jon and Kate plus 8. He also said that they might be back and might not. That is when Kate looked at him like I can't believe you said that. I think Jon gets it and he has had enough. I think Kate wants more money and fame.

I don't watch J&K but I did see the first season.

I just noticed that Jon is only 31 ? So he became a father of 8 in fast progression since he was 24 or so? He definitely behaves as if he didn't have enough time/room for growing up.
