I agree Kats. I guess some people never listened to Bowie? Adam's AI performances were not on the cutting edge of theatrical, I assure you. Adam toned it down big time for the national audience.
I am sure Adam is happy for Kris Allen. I still think Adam is a better singer and performing artist.
Kris has a good personality and mediocre singing talent. And I will give Kris props for being down to earth. And I think he has the face of a model.
Okay, a friend on facebook has this as her status. "Thank God that we as Americans can say our " American Idol" is Kris Allen." What the heck? I think I should delete her.

Oh brother. Unbelievable. I'm done with AI. Not because my favorite contestant didn't win, but because the best performer and the greatest talent didn't win -- and I do suspect bigotry had something to do with the outcome. I'm a conservative, but even I'm growing frightened of the fundamentalist mob mentality that organized church phone trees so this very unworthy contestant could win. I'll bet little jello-salad grannies who never heard of AI were dutifully dialing to keep the gay guy out. The only consolation is that everyone knows Adam Lambert is the true superstar. He will become iconic; in two months, no one will remember the little bland boy. Bleh.
Congratulations Kris!!!!!! Just when I thought there would be no surprises........ He will do well, regardless of the naysayers.
