What's more...she's a kid who did not have a normal childhood. Hours in the gym, pushing your body to the point of damage in order to "peak" before you're even 20.
It IS interesting, though, to watch them do the rounds on the talk shows. I caught her on Regis & Kelly and the interview was painful. She is probably pretty shy and clearly uncomfortable on television (put her on a balance beam, however...) so the fun that America got to have with past winners like Drew and Emmett is not going to be there.
I said it previously so I will say it again. I liked all 3. I personally voted for Melissa just because of the Bachelor thing. Gilles is a great dancer and from what I understand, is currently sifting through the numerous offers coming his way in Hollywood. Great! That's the point of the show, right? Exposure? He got it and now America knows who this hottie is and his life is now going to be his to control. I just saw that Melissa is heading home to Dallas and her boyfriend (?) promised to buy her a puppy. Shawn already won an Olympic gold medal and is going to decide whether to compete in the next Olympics. Everything has turned out all right in the end.
