Haven't been on for a few days, but see the political controversy over Bristol still rages on. I saw the post about Portia. I assume it means she's been asked to be on next season. As for dancing with another woman, wasn't there an issue with that somewhere in one of the seasons with one of the men? I can't seem to remember who it was, but I'm pretty sure he had to dance with a woman.

OMG you guys are still at it over here - and here I am to pile on, too LOL

I'm with whoever said about back surgery - I opted out of that, too and am glad - was lucky to have a surgeon who had come to the conclusion that, in cases like this, back surgery wasn't 'cutting' it (pun heavily intended!)

As far as a gay contestant dancing with a same sex partner...........was that issue brought up with Lance Bass?

Now, for the back surgery, I had the same issue with the disc at L-5, I was in almost contsant pain for 6 years, went from Dr. to Dr., did physical therapy, a brace, a Tens Unit, cortisone shots, narcotics.....all of it. By the time I found a Dr. who said I needed surgery, he said I probably had permanent nerve damage because the nerves were compressed for so long.........and he was right. I thought of suicide often.........the only thing that stopped me was knowing all of my dogs and cats would be left homeless. I had 5 cats and 4 dogs at that time......all strays that I picked up.

The relief I felt after surgery was immediate and immense. My life was finally worth living again. I only get pain now when I do something like lift cat litter out of the trunk and don't lift it exactly right........and the pain is nothing compared to what it used to be and goes away in a day or two. I also get mild discomfort if I have to stand or sit for too long.

When I saw that Jen had a Dr. that was attacking the problem head-on, I thought how lucky she was to have a Dr. that knew what he was doing.

OMG! NO! NO! NO! PLEASE............NO!

I was just watching Inside Edition and they said DWTS producers are trying really, really hard to get Tod Palin to dance next season!

I hope Sarah tells him he is not allowed, SOMEONE has to stay home and take care of the kids.

They are going to bring in any contestant who can generate the most viewership.
It's not political....it is business.
People are just making it political.

True. I wouldn't put it passed them to put a call in to Sasha and Malia.

Yes Annie, I'm pretty sure Lance Bass was when the issue was brought up about who he would dance with. I'm glad they settled for traditional.
