Not sure whether to start a new thread or not.....
The opening combined a medical intervention, a leadin or foreshadowing of Hank working on the uh rich guy's medical mystery and the introduction of a possible new plot complication in the form of Hank and Evans apparently semi-criminal bad Dad in the form of Henry Winkler. Frankly this reminds me to much of the Bones plot line but oh well.
I enjoyed the episode but wish they had explored the medical intervention thing with the guy and his need to destroy his father's panic room and his father's problem.
Its not a Soprano's but I like it quite a bit. Hank is truly a straight shooter and likeable and I like that. The settings are gorgeous. I like the PA and her problems integrating family culture with modern desires. Its a good show. I hope it continues.

They did address that. His need to destroy the panic room was because he was afraid he would become like his father. Since Hank determined that the father's mental illness was due to mercury poisoning, Hank assured him that he wasn't going to become insane like his father. Furthermore, all of the man's symptoms were the result of lower level exposure to mercury poisoning. Once the mercury is eliminated from the building, he will no longer have symptoms.

Hi Hopes, yes they did, I knew that.... Maybe what I was getting at is....well it seemed sort of an add on after all the other threads, or maybe it was the way the kept jumping around it sort of got lost. I just didn't feel as involved in the thread as I have with some of the other people they've treated. I hope the choppiness is because they had a lot to address in the first epi.
